Family and Friends of MTA
We are all gearing up for an incredible season here at MTA! Following our spectacular fall line-up Return of the Glass Slipper, Shrek Jr and Chicago, we are pleased to announce that the Brite Stars are planning to be one of the very first children’s theater groups in the country to be able to perform Frozen Jr. and our Shooting Stars and Rising Stars will join forces to put on Mary Poppins in the Spring! What a year this will be!! We are very hopeful that we can produce these five shows with the highest caliber of costumes, set design and special effects to match the incredible talent of the young actors on stage. In order to accomplish this, we are going to need the help and support of the MTA families. Our goal is to raise $30,000 for production costs such as Cinderella’s sparkling coach, Shrek’s magnificent dragon, Elsa’s ice castle as well as getting Mary off her feet and flying! We will need to hire the top-notch flying company, FOY, to ensure safety and fun for many of the cast members of Mary Poppins.
We would love for you to join us for a “Night Under the Stars” – an adult evening at the exquisitely beautiful Shady Canyon home of the Pozzuoli family. This mix 'n mingler will be held on September 22nd at 7 pm and will be a wonderful chance to get to know fellow MTA families. Enjoy live music by singer/songwriter Joey Sykes, an open bar, hors d’oeuvres and custom pizzas baked fresh in the outdoor pizza oven. Invitations with additional details will be delivered soon, but we wanted to inform you of this special evening as soon as possible so you could reserve your tickets for this very special event. Your donation of $75 per person can be reserved by clicking on the ticket link. Tickets can also be reserved by check/credit card on the first day/week of fall registration. Be sure to reserve early as we will have limited space available!
This will prove to be an elegant, fun evening which will include a silent auction and our WISH UPON A STAR Pull. We have begun accepting wonderful auction items such as golf clubs from Roger Dunn and airline tickets to fly anywhere! There will also be some "priceless” experiences up for bid like going to see Aladdin at Segerstrom Center with Miss Holly, and a Private Master Class with Jimmy! Along with Disneyland/California Adventure park-hopper passes and four VIP tickets to see Frozen (starring McKenna) at the Hyperion Theater. If you and your family have a donation or special service that you would like to contribute to this event, please email Liz Curtis at firstname.lastname@example.org or HollyBisaha@mtaoc.org We will then share our wish list of items needed or confirm your Auction Item details. Thanks to the Herman family for already graciously donating all the Veuve Wine for the evening!
The children, staff, committee, and board members are so appreciative of all your support and we know this is going to be a year to remember! May the remainder of your summer be a happy and healthy one and we will see you in the fall!
